Choosing a Flatbed Semi Trailer
Start with the container or cargo dimensions and the loading arrangement. The catalogue distinguishes 20ft, 40ft and 45ft platforms; a shared trailer length does not mean every twist-lock or axle arrangement is interchangeable.
Compare the catalogue configurations
| 20ft catalogue configuration | 2/3 axles; 20–60 tons loading capacity |
|---|---|
| 40ft catalogue configuration | 2/3/4 axles; 30–80 tons loading capacity |
| 45ft catalogue configuration | 3/4 axles; 30–80 tons loading capacity |
| Container layouts | 20ft; one 40ft or two 20ft; 40ft/45ft arrangements by selected configuration |

Common selection questions
What should I specify for container loading?
State the container size, the number carried together, cargo weight and the loading equipment. Confirm the twist-lock layout in the quotation.
Are catalogue capacities an order-specific rating?
No. The catalogue lists configurable ranges. The selected trailer configuration and approved drawing define the specification for an order.
