Mechanical and air-suspension options appear in several Vehicle Master catalogue families. Choosing between them requires the full operating requirement; the catalogue does not provide a universal cost-saving percentage or payback period.

Identify the trailer family first

Mechanical or air options are listed for lowbeds, box vans, liquid tankers and dump trailers. Confirm which arrangement is available for the specific configuration instead of applying an option from one family to every trailer.

Provide the operating inputs

Include the cargo, axle arrangement, expected operating conditions, maintenance resources and service requirements. These inputs make a suspension enquiry more useful than a request based only on the number of axles.

Compare complete quotations

Request the actual supplied suspension and axle components, the service items and the applicable terms. Compare the complete configuration and support arrangement; the catalogue alone does not calculate a total cost of ownership.

Keep the final specification explicit

Record the selected suspension in the quotation and approved drawing. If a component is described as optional, confirm whether it is included, substituted or separately priced in the proposed order.
